Kayla has touched some many lives for good. She has always been so willing to help everyone. She has donated countless hours to community service projects, to church service projects, as well as hospital service projects and helping with the sick and the elderly. She is the most generous, caring and loving person I know. She is always thinking of others feelings and what she can do for them. She serves God by serving other people and she truly loves her neighbor as her self. She is the definition of goodness. I love her with all of my heart and I know that countless others love her too. To anyone who reads this, please let Kayla know that you care about her. I know she would appreciate any support you can be in her time of need (monetary or otherwise).

Sincerely,
Erik Nebeker

When I was expecting my 6th child, I decided on the name "Kayla" if she was a girl. The name is so beautiful, and I knew my daughter would be beautiful. Well, she turned out to be a girl, alright, and was she ever beautiful from birth. Growing up, she led a very happy childhood. She was such a "daddy's girl", but I am the one who was with her the most. In kindergarten she had turned in an assignment one time and her teacher spoke to her about it after class. Her teacher told Kayla that she was disappointed, that she knew Kayla could do better. From that time on, Kayla never gave less then 110% on anything she attempted, especially school assignments. She loved drawing, so most of her assignments had decorated folders. She also loved singing. In 6th grade she tried out for the choir that was going to perform at Disneyland, and she made it! As she got into her high school grades, she took private art classes, piano, and was a long distance runner. She had lots of friends wherever we lived.

Kayla has done a lot of volunteer work. At one time she even walked dogs that were in a shelter. She has worked a lot with seniors. She has taught nutrition classes to seniors. She has painted murals in hospitals for seniors. Kayla just loves life and loves people. She loves the outdoors. One of her favorite things to do is go on long walks or jogs. She absolutely loves all of her nieces and nephews (12 of them) and they love her back. In fact, when Kayla is around them, everyone else is "chopped liver".

Kayla has so much to offer to this earth. She loves serving others and serving God. If anyone deserves to live a long, happy, healthy life, it is certainly Kayla. She never takes a day for granted. She uses up every second of the day in a useful way. Now Kayla needs everyone's prayers. We all love her so much! Please, Heavenly Father, bless her with a full recovery.

Love Always,

Mom

There are so many things that I could say about my little sister, Kayla. Because we are so close in age, she was my best friend growing up. Kayla has always been full of life and energy and is one of the most intelligent people I know. Kayla has touched the very core of my soul with her courage and determination. She has always reached for the stars and I've seen her be able to grab on to them. Kayla has always been the type of person to make you feel better even when it is her that is going through a tough trial. Kayla is so beautiful inside and out. Her boyfriend, Kyle, has called her "our lovely warrior”, and I think that name is so fitting. I just want anyone who reads this to know just how special this girl is. She is my angel and I know that through prayers, faith, and love by all who are willing to give it to her, she CAN beat this. Kayla has already fought and survived Colon Cancer and I have no doubt that with her exceptional will to live and her faith in God, that she can fight this too. I love my little sister with all of my heart and if there is anything you think of that can help or any type of support you can show, it will mean the world to me and my family.
All my love,
Valerie Williams

What can I say about Kayla? I can't imagine life without my sisters, my 2 best friends in the whole world. I love Kayla so much it's hard to put into words. Kyle has called her our lovely warrior and that is so true. She is such an inspiration to us all. She is my hero. I don't know anyone as strong as she is. Whenever something tough happens in my life I call her to talk about it. She gives me such strength. It's an honor to be her sister. I know that everyone who knows her feels the same way about her that her family does. I just wanted to express to everyone who reads this just how much I love her. I hope anyone out there who can help will do so because she needs all the love and support possible.

Thanks,
Colleen Christianson
